Building a Community Improvement Project Website

This week, the City Council approved my motion to assist Angelenos in conducting more community improvement projects in their neighborhoods.
Many of us can attest to the power of volunteerism and the impact it has to building stronger and safer communities. In the 12th Council District, we have seen some great work accomplished by neighborhood councils, service organizations and other "super volunteers" over the years.
For volunteers seeking community service opportunities, there are many ways one can seek that information, including the City's website. By improving the marketing of existing City resources and services available and including step-by-step instructions on how to complete each community improvement project from start to finish, I hope to streamline the process and make it easier for Angelenos to successfully see their ideas come into fruition.
