Chatsworth Nature Preserve Update

The winter rains have filled the Chatsworth ecology pond almost to its full capacity. Due to the abundance of rain, pools in the original Chatsworth Reservoir bottom have also formed.
In December, the San Fernando Valley Audubon Society performed their annual Christmas Bird Count and identified over 52 species of birds in and around the ecology pond.
As the winter rains subside and the spring showers begin, LADWP will continue to monitor the nature preserve and make improvements as needed.
