Cynthia McClain-Hill Appointed to the Los Angeles Police Commission

This Tuesday, the City Council confirmed attorney, public policy strategist, and entrepreneur Cynthia McClain-Hill to the Los Angeles Police Commission.
She is Managing Director of Los Angeles-based Strategic Counsel PLC, a multidisciplinary law firm that specializes in the management of its client’s complex legal matters, public policy engagements, issue advocacy, and communications.
Ms. McClain-Hill is consistently named one of Southern California’s “Super Lawyers” based on surveys of 65,000 Los Angeles area attorneys, ranking her among the top five percent of the state’s practicing attorneys. She received the U.S. Small Business Administration's "Women in Business Advocate Award," the "2005 Chapter Public Policy Advocate of the Year Award" from NAWBO, the first annual "Ruth Standish Baldwin Award" from the Greater Sacramento Urban League, and the "Thurgood Marshall Award" from Minorities in Business Magazine.
She has shared her legal and public policy expertise in service to a variety of public-sector and non-profit boards and commissions. She is past president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-LA) and served as the organization's national president from 2008 to 2009.
