This past Saturday, our E12 students led a community hike at Aliso Canyon Park with Boy Scout Troop 1. The students learned about the unique equestrian amenities Aliso Canyon park has to offer and also learned how to report service requests using the MyLA311 App. While hiking the 1.3 miles, the students took in the sights, sounds and smells of Aliso Canyon, as they learned to identify native plant species and animals.
One of the Scouts utilized his Boy Scout knowledge and rendered first aid during the hike. The students rounded out the fun community hike with a graffiti removal project, painting out over 2,000 square feet of graffiti.
