All summer long the students have been utilizing the public transportation system to get around and have been gaining first-hand experience and knowledge of the City's transportation system.
This week, the students discovered the newly launched Metro Bike Share system featuring hundreds of bikes available in Downtown Los Angeles. The students also learned about the City's transportation policies including: "Vision Zero," the City's effort to eliminate all traffic deaths by 2025, a pilot program looking at new ways of displaying parking signs, scored the walkability of the City's sidewalks and applied "multi-modal" modes of transportation to get around the City.
