Homelessness Town Hall
Posted by Councilmember Englander on September 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM
This Monday, I was proud to join my colleague Councilmember Bob Blumenfield for a town hall conversation focusing on the homelessness challenges in the San Fernando Valley. The town hall featured leaders from the City, County, and relevant agencies who answered questions on homelessness throughout the City and the complex challenges the City faces.
Special thanks to our panelists: Peter Lynn, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA); Stephanie Klasky-Gamer, President and CEO of LA Family Housing; Commander Todd Chamberlain, LAPD Homeless Coordinator; Raffy Astvasadoorian, West Valley Neighborhood Prosecutor for the LA City Attorney; Molly Rysman, Housing and Homelessness Deputy for LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl; Wade Trimmer, Director of the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission; and Nancy Volpert, Director of Public Policy for the Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles.
