INTRODUCING THE NEW CD12 RAPID RESPONSE TEAM
Posted by Councilmember Englander on January 05, 2018 at 4:00 PM
2017 was the first year of our Neighborhoods FIRST Initiative to address the issue of homelessness in our communities. By leading with compassion, we can ensure that unsheltered individuals have access to the services they need while we alleviate the negative impacts on our neighborhoods by devoting increased staffing resources to sanitation and public safety functions.
As we enter 2018, we're expanding the program with the addition of two new staffers that will be devoted entirely to rapid response services that increase quality of life in neighborhoods. Eric Estrada and Angel Romero are young participants in LAPD's Associate Community Officer Program (ACOP) at Devonshire Division. This part-time program helps train future police officers showing the commitment these young men have to improving our community.
Eric and Angel will complement their LAPD training by working with our office to field service requests and ensure timely responses. Help us welcome them to the team!
