Lazy J Park Gets New Play Equipment
Posted by Councilmember Englander on August 07, 2015 at 12:00 PM
Today, I was proud to cut the ribbon on a new playground at Lazy J park in West Hills. The new playground is ADA compliant and offers recreational opportunities for children of all abilities. In addition, the new playground will also provide sun protection with shade toppers in play areas and offer a higher variety of recreation than the previous equipment allowed.
My office worked with the West Hills Neighborhood Council to identify the need for new equipment at this park and secured funding to bring their suggestions to fruition.
I would like to thank the LA Parks Foundation, the Department of Recreation and Parks and Pulte Homes for making this new play equipment a reality. I would also like to thank the kids form Shadow Ranch Summer School for testing out the equipment for us!
