This week, I joined nearly 1,500 members of our community at the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council to demand answers from the the SoCal Gas Company regarding the Aliso Canyon Gas Leak. Representatives from the SoCal Gas Company, the Division of Oil, Gas & Geothermal Resources (DOGGR), LA County Public Health, LA County Fire, LAFD, the So Cal Air Quality Management District (AQMD), and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) were also in attendance to discuss the ongoing crisis.
Prior to the community meeting, I joined Mayor Eric Garcetti at Porter Ranch Community School to view the new high density filters being installed at the school and talk to the students, parents, and teachers.
