Neighborhoods First Update

My office has located and secured additional lots for impounded RVs. In recent weeks, my office procured additional funding which led to increased parking enforcement and towing by LAPD and DOT. The stepped up enforcment caused the current impound yards to reach maximum capacity.
On Monday we opened a new space for RVs impounded in CD12. City forces have returned to moving RVs off our streets.
My office has requested that LAPD Devonshire assign an enforcement detail for the lot at night and we are working together to create an LAPD RV Towing Task Force dedicated to impounding these vehicles and providing assistance for those in need.
In addition to securing new lots, working with LAPD we have reduced the whole time required for RVs designated for scrap. This will result in less backlog throughout City operated towing lots and eliminate the impedements from impounding RVs in the future.
My office has been working diligently to map and assess the homeless hot spots, potential funding sources, advocacy groups, and volunteer networks active throughout CD12. We are resolving problems by marshaling the resources identified and developing plans of action to address the issues.
We are continually looking not only at what and where problems exist but also for partnerships in developing workable solutions.
