Earlier this week, Shapell / Liberty Investment Properties presented its new plans for the shopping center on the west side of Porter Ranch Drive and Rinaldi Street at a joint meeting of the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council Board and Land Use Committee. Over 300 community members attended to listen to the presentation and provide input on the initial design elements.
I have worked tirelessly for the last 10 years to ensure that the proposed plan would result in a lifestyle and retail center that would be a gathering place for the community. The plans that were unveiled proposed a mix of uses, including a luxury movie theater, a grocery market, restaurants, and retail shops. The plan also includes a community room with a terrace, a town green and a flexible main street design that can be closed off to create a setting for pedestrian-oriented events.
