Oily residue and black spots have been reported on vehicles and homes in our Porter Ranch community. The Los Angeles County Department of Health has issued a warning to residents to avoid contact with food and any surfaces that appear to be coated with the oily residue stating the material could cause skin irritation or a rash.
To report the residue, community members are encouraged to contact Los Angeles County Department of Health Toxicology Division at (213) 738-3220. To have your property inspected and/or cleaned by the SoCal Gas Company, call (818) 435-7707 or go to the Customer Resource Center located at 19731 Rinaldi Street in Porter Ranch.
