Operation Gratitude Reaches 2 Million Care Packages
Posted by Councilmember Englander on December 15, 2017 at 3:13 PM
Last Saturday, Operation Gratitude celebrated their 2 Millionth Care Package! What began as one woman's passion project based out of her living room to support members of our military, first responders, and their families has since grown into an incredible organization attracting hundreds of volunteers and corporate sponsors.
It was inspiring to see the countless volunteers who came out on Saturday for the chance to say "Thank You" to our men and women in uniform who sacrifice for our safety. We also heard from service members who returned from recent deployments and spoke about how meaningful it is to receive one of these care packages from a stranger.
Thank you to Operation Gratitude founder Carolyn Blashek for your passion, vision, and dedication to making sure those who serve are recognized and receive the gratitude for sacrifices that are too often taken for granted.
