Raising Funds for First Responders Affected by Hurricane Harvey

I'm proud to join the LAPD Air Operations Angels Foundation to support the men and women first responders of Harris County and Houston who have suffered financial losses and setbacks due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.
First responders committed countless acts of heroism to save lives during Hurricane Harvey. In the aftermath, these men and women returned home to face the same kind of devastation and loss of property that affected families throughout the storm's path. The funds raised during this effort will go directly to the emergency response departments of the affected area. They will then be distributed to the personnel who face financial hardship as a result of the storm.
This effort shows that, regardless of department or city, first responders stand in support of each other. Emergency response and public safety personnel share the unique responsibility of putting the community they serve before themselves. That is why when another officer is in need, or when other departments need support, our LAPD and LAFD stand ready to do whatever they can to help.
