Thank You to the Porter Ranch Community Advisory Committee

The Porter Ranch Community Advisory Committee (PRCAC) was formed in December of 2015 to help address the immediate and ongoing challenges of the Aliso Canyon Gas Leak, the largest natural gas leak in US history. With over 20,000 residents relocated from their homes, two schools closed and dozens of local businesses impacted, the effects of this catastrophe were felt by every resident regardless of whether or not they chose to relocate.
Last Thursday, the PRCAC held its final meeting regarding the Aliso Canyon Gas Leak. While it was my hope when I first established the PRCAC that it would live in perpetuity, the decision to continue this committee rests with its members and I respect that decision. This has been a tremendous sacrifice in both time and commitment.
I particularly want to thank Paula Cracium who served as President of the PRCAC. Throughout this crisis, Paula demonstrated true leadership and showed this community what can be accomplished by coming together. She worked around the clock to ensure that the people of Porter Ranch and the surrounding communities’ voices were heard.
Thank you to all the members of the PRCAC who dedicated their time to advocating for this community. While we have done a lot for many, we still have much to do together to ensure we protect our families. I look forward to continue working with you.
