The 13th Annual Day of The Horse

Last Sunday, I was proud to co-sponsor the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council's 13th Annual Chatsworth Day of the Horse at Stoney Point Ranch. This fantastic event showcased the rich history and culture of our vibrant equestrian community. The Valley View Vaulters, Conejo Valley Riders, and numerous other groups performed riding demonstrations and horsemanship tutorials.
The Annual Day of the Horse poster contest winners were on display featuring "Horses of a Different Color.” Hundreds of posters designs were submitted by Chatsworth students and residents in grades K-12. There were also numerous displays about equestrian safety, kid-friendly arts and crafts, and fun for everyone.
This year, I was honored to dedicate the Day of the Horse to Mary Kaufman, the organizer of this event for many years, who passed away suddenly last month. I want to thank all the people who stepped in to make this year a success, especially, Dorothy Allison and Bill UpdeGraff.
