The 2017 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count
Posted by Councilmember Englander on January 27, 2017 at 9:17 AM
This Tuesday, my office and community members took part in the mission to count our homeless neighbors. The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count enables us to gather important data that is key for us to bring about an end to homelessness in Los Angeles. Due to these efforts and thanks to our caring communities, we don’t have to accept homelessness as an unsolvable problem.
Volunteers throughout the City of Los Angeles shined a light on the critical issue of homelessness in the region, gleaned valuable data to support programs and funding, and created new pathways for collaboration and involvement. Through the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, we brought leaders, residents, and stakeholders throughout Los Angeles together to determine the state of homelessness in LA and give vital community resources to those in need.
