Transportation Deputy & Innov818 Director
Eric fills many roles for the CD 12 team. As Transportation Deputy, he is our Department of Transportation liaison, working on most transportation issues affecting the District and the City, advising the Councilman on various related topics, concerns and projects. Eric also staffs the City's Transportation Committee, briefing the Councilman and our staff on transportation related concerns coming before the City Council. If it relates to traffic signals & controls, crosswalks and speed limits, he can help!
Eric is also filling a new role as innov818 Director. As our business and economic development liaison, he can help facilitate the needs of local businesses, small and large by coordinating City services with the Councilman's efforts to encourage responsible economic development and job creation throughout the District. Toward that end, Eric is responsible for marketing and promoting the Chatsworth-Northridge Industrial Core – innov818 area, to preserve, enhance and promote the economic viability of the area, creating higher wage jobs by encouraging high-tech industry.
A native Angeleno, Eric brings over 20 years of experience in government service to the District. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in History from Loyola Marymount University, Eric pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration with emphasis on Intergovernmental Management at USC. Eric has worked in various City departments, as well as three Council Offices.
